The cold takes a toll on everything, engines included. The truck broke down, and the snowmobile- time to diagnose the problem and hopefully get some parts to the homestead to get it fixed. As of now, the only transportation we have are the horses and the ATV. Dennis tinkered with it and narrowed the problem down, and managed to get parts ordered. Fingers crossed it gets here soon, and it does the trick. In the meantime, its melting snow for water-not a small feat with all the livestock on the homestead, but we will get it done and make sure everyone has what they need! A long day out in the cold called for a hot cup of Salmon Chowder (made with the last few fillets of our king salmon) and a hunk of fresh sourdough.
