Spruce was the last to kid on a -20 night, with 2 beautiful babies! We scooped them up, warmed them up by the fire, then put mamas and babies on the porch to nurse and settle in. Spruce is the 3rd doe to kid this winter, and we have been blessed with an abundance of milk. Yogurt, cheese, kefir, sour cream- we have been making batches all winter long! Dennis worked on the firetruck a bit, getting her ready for fire season, and got some work done on the generator house- a new power system for the homestead. Smoked salmon hash + sourdough brownies for dinner! 'Til next week, -Dennis, Amy & Lena End Music By: @HawkenHorse, who wrote us "Holdfast". Frontier music and history.
