Currently Playing: Foraging in Alaska | Wild Food Preservation Over Fire

This week we canned up the first rounds of spring foraged food over the fire; spruce tip & dandelion syrup. These syrups will be wonderful to have over winter, topping pancakes, ice cream, toast and more. The spruce syrup is something we reach for when a sore throat or cough hits. We also made a batch of Spruce Tip Salt and some fried dandelion heads over the fire for dinner! Til next week, -Dennis, Amy & Lena End Music By: @HawkenHorse, who wrote us "Holdfast".
