The reality of homesteading isn't always big and exciting, its small steps taken every day, no matter what. The homestead doesn't ever stop- wood needs to be stocked in the stove and the cabin kept warm, animals tended, water hauled, projects done, even when one of us is under the weather. We are in the midst of negative temps and strong wind, and everything gets harder. The animals need to be kept a closer eye on (especially with 2 does close to kidding), its more important to keep access open, and the cabin kept warm. Dennis held down the fort these past few days while I was sick, and he takes you all along for the ride. Fingers crossed for warmer weather and the start of our new cabin foundation next week!
