Just weeks ago I repaired this Macintosh SE/30 for my exploration into Apple’s A/UX. And now, the SCSI hard drive has failed — slowly winding down like so many old drives do. That’s bad timing, as I wanted to bring this machine along for my exhibit at the Vintage Computer Festival Switzerland 2025, to showcase Macintosh networking. After comparing SCSI2SD and ZuluSCSI, I went with the ZuluSCSI for the SE/30 — updated the firmware, configured it for Apple systems, and 3D-printed a custom mount using my recently restored Zim 3D printer. Everything’s now set up again — System 7 and A/UX freshly installed — and ready for the festival!
