Using a freshly acquired Macintosh Performa 6400 / Power Macintosh 6400, I set up Mac OS 8.6, prepare a dedicated BeOS partition, and walk through the installation path of BeOS, including its fairly unusual boot procedure. Along the way, there is also a small hardware repair with a 3D printed Escape key for the Apple Design Keyboard. But if you cannot track down a BeOS-compatible Power Mac, emulation may help. I also take a look at DingusPPC, a very experimental PowerPC Macintosh emulator, including its current BeOS-related progress, along with some of the quirks and workarounds involved.
