2025 was a fantastic retro year on THE PHINTAGE COLLECTOR. From a NAS overhaul following a power outage, to upgrading the network with Ubiquiti gear, retrofitting a Quantum Bigfoot to restore the Highscreen Colani PC. I checked out the Apple QuickTake 100, tried SGI video telephony, and even restored a 3D printer. Plus I brought home an original IBM PC AT, went into Windows/286, XP Embedded, FLP and NT 4.0 Terminal Server Edition to finally uncover the Citrix backstory! UNIX was a frequent guest, too, with the Sun Fire V120, Sun Ray terminals, A/UX, WABI, MAE, SoftPC, NeXTSTEP and even Rhapsody on real hardware and inside emulation. VCFe brought live Token Ring and modem networking demos, plus more behind-the-scenes work than I could show. And the shelves keep filling: Siemens SimPad, another SGI, Cobalt gear, a British Advance 86, a CPU-frame project — and finally a SEGA Game Gear with TV tuner. A 35-year dream come true.
