MorphOS is often described as “Amiga-like,” but what does that actually mean in practice? In this video, I install MorphOS on a PowerPC Mac mini G4 and explore how this modern operating system reimagines the AmigaOS experience. After a false start with an iBook G3, I went all-in with the Mac mini, from the live CD and First Flight assistant to disk partitioning, screen configuration, and registering the commercial license. The result? A surprisingly fast and cohesive PowerPC experience — including a 12-second boot time from hard disk — that feels entirely at home on this twenty-year-old Mac mini.
