Curated by: Not A Pound For Air To Ground (219 videos)
With apologies in advance for my dreadful Korean pronunication, this video covers the early operations of the North Korean People's Air Force during the summer of 1950. It also charts their rapid destruction at the hands of the Far East Air Force and the major operations that caused it. The success of Allied air power was a major factor in halting Kim's drive south and then reversing it. Inadvertantly that success led to the covert entry of the Soviet Union and then the overt entry of China into the war. Sources: The best (and only) book on the NKPAF in Korea is "Fury From The North", by Doug Dildy. A slim book, but well researched and written. Essential reading if you're interested in the Communist side of the air war
