In the 1950s both Spain and Egypt pursued indigenous supersonic fighter projects. Spain's aircraft was designed by one Willy Messerschmitt but when Franco ran out of money his project was bought up by Nasser's Egypt. This video is the story of a fascinating aircraft, designed by Germans, powered by an engine related to that in the TU-95 Bear. Sources There isn't a great single source on the HA-300.
