Over 1,400 Mirage IIIs, 5s and 50s were made between the late 1950s and the early 1970s. This video covers the major versions from the earliest MD.550 to the Mirage EX. Quick note. In advance of making this, and the forthcoming video on the Mystere, I took advice from a colleague who "spoke French" about the correct pronounciation of "Dassault". His advice was that it is "Dass-oo" and I followed it in this video. Having taken possibly better advice, I am now more convinced that the correct way to say it is "Dass-aw". I will use that in future, but remaking this wasn't feasible. I hope that the French language recovers from this grave insult.
