Curated by: Not A Pound For Air To Ground (219 videos)
In 1943 German night fighters began using a tactic called Schrage Musik against the armada of RAF bombers that attacked each night. Taking advantage of the bombers’ weak ventral defences, they angled their cannons upwards with devastating effects. The perceived success of Schrage Musik led to post-war aircraft designers specifying these systems on their early jet fighters and interceptors. This video examines such efforts on both sides of the Iron Curtain.
