Not only did this first come out way back in 1971, before even one such as I existed, this book does a wonderful job of painting quite the vivid vintage post- apocalyptic picture! I'd been exposed to Kane's work fairly early on in life, but even I wasn't aware of this book until in the past few years, when I went on a binge of hunting down older comic works by celebrated artists. Then I promptly forgot about it for a few years. It's definitely an interesting look back at how an artist envisioned life after humanity's desolation.
