I wasn't super familiar with early McKeever work so this was an interesting discovery for me. I was aware of it, but hadn't seen it- I'd only seen his color work prior to this, but it's quite interesting what he was up to quite a few years before more of the mainstream artists really started screwing around with really bold and aggressive inks in their comics. This story really feels like the prototype for what he would do later with his more well known works too. It ends on a bit of a sudden note, and while the modern tacked- on ending helps, there's still some gaps left for the reader to fill on their own.
