Duel Masters was my son's favorite CCG for quite a few years. Well... up until the pandemic, pretty much. We'd pick up new decks and packs whenever we visited with family overseas (along with the occasional MtG decks as well), but with things the way they were that pretty much has been put on hiatus. The rules started out pretty simple but over the years has gotten more and more complex, much like all the other card games out there. One thing that stood out to me about Duel Masters was the quality of art. They had some top notch artists on duty and if ever there was a series of cards we both wanted to collect just for the sake of cool looking pictures, it was Duel Masters. We both used to lament the fact that there were no way to really appreciate the art for the cards. We were spoiled with the Magic art books and wanted something similar. Luckily one day I stumbled upon this book. Is it an exhaustive reference? Nope. Is it as big and fancy as some of the other card games albums are? Not really, sadly. Does it at least have lots of cool art? Sure! If ever there was a game that deserve miniature figures of any of these crazy monsters, it's this.
