We get our first instance of somebody being disciplined based on a violation of the Word of Wisdom. We get reports from Missouri detailing how bad things really are and where the members have scattered. Joseph and the leaders of the Church have tough situations to overcome. Debts are mounting, creditors are calling, and Joseph is now called to lead the expedition, eventually called Zion's Camp to reclaim their lands.
