Inside the Kirtland Temple, Joseph Smith and others experienced a series of visions during a meeting of Priesthood leaders. I the midst of giving and receiving blessings, Joseph receives a vision of the afterlife that we now have in section 137. We are a little out of order on this revelation, but this section has a massive impact on work for the dead, understanding the spirit world, and who qualifies for salvation regardless of their privileges in mortal life.
