We come to the end of the Joseph Smith Papers in this episode. This covers a month and a half and the events leading up to the murder of Joseph Smith and his brother Hyrum in Carthage Jail. We see a volley of paperwork from letters to court dockets to the Nauvoo Expositor trying to bring Joseph down or free him from his enemies. We see the final letters to attorneys, and several to his wife as he surrenders himself to the Governor of Illinois and his final moments in the summer of 1844.
