Currently Playing: Lazarus Gate Gives Too Much Information About Future Of The Last Caretaker

In this The Last Caretaker theory video, I go back into the new update information and try to figure out what the Transfer Gate, North Bastion, its coordinates, and the giant satellite may actually mean for the future of the game. The first important detail is the Transfer Gate destination itself. The normal Last Caretaker map works using an X and Y coordinate system, but the destination entered into the Transfer Gate does not behave like a normal location coordinate. It looks much more like an address inside a network—almost like an IP address telling the gate which connected destination to reach. That distinction could become extremely important. If the Transfer Gate works through a network rather than simply teleporting us to another point on the current map, then future destinations do not necessarily have to exist on the same surface or even on the same map. That could include completely separate regions and, eventually, even space. North Bastion is currently around 101 km from Lazarus according to the map, and the gate gives us access to its frozen region without physically traveling that distance. North Bastion itself also appears to be only the visible portion of something much larger, with huge internal structures, possible hangar areas, and infrastructure buried inside the mountain. There are also strange permanent structures around the Bastion that may eventually become important. Some areas resemble vehicle or aircraft access points, and the presence of fixed mooring-style structures makes me wonder whether we may eventually receive another type of vehicle designed specifically for this environment. But the biggest clue may be sitting on top of North Bastion. The enormous satellite. North Bastion also has an observatory-style location nearby, and my theory is that the satellite may eventually help us discover, communicate with, or establish addresses for additional Transfer Gate destinations. This connects directly to the larger map we previously found. There are several major regions shown around the current world, including elevated sections that may represent mountains, islands, or completely different environments. Based on the scale and layout, I think one of these nearby elevated regions could be connected to North Bastion and may become one of our next destinations. The Transfer Gate may therefore become one of the most important technologies in The Last Caretaker. Instead of simply being a one-time portal to North Bastion, we may eventually collect new destination addresses and use the same gate to travel between major regions as the game expands. And potentially much farther than that. If the orbital infrastructure where we sent humanity's seeds belongs to the same network, the Transfer Gate could eventually become our method of traveling between Earth-based facilities and locations in space. For now, North Bastion is only our first confirmed connection. But I do not think it will be our last. Let me know what you think about the Transfer Gate addresses, North Bastion, the satellite, and which region on the larger map you think we will visit next.
