Currently Playing: The Last Caretaker: New Patch Bugs & Fixes! Stutters, Trees, Cables, Pishon Problems

In this The Last Caretaker New Horizons update video, I go over some of the bugs that came with the new patch and explain the fixes or workarounds I know so far. Every patch brings new content, new systems, and sometimes new disasters, so today we are looking at stutters, trees, cables, Pishon, ship problems, waves, storms, floating items, and other weird patch behavior. The first major issue is stuttering. If your game started stuttering after the patch, one possible cause is old trees from previous versions. Since trees now produce items like pears and have new behavior, older trees on your ship or base can cause problems. A simple fix is to dismantle the old tree and plant it again. If that does not solve it, updating your Nvidia drivers and using the optimized game settings from the Nvidia panel may help. I also talk about the current cable problems. Soggy cables, cables passing through objects, strange cable paths, flipped objects, and ship garden problems do not really have a full fix right now. These seem connected to the physics and optimization changes in the patch. My ship has already started turning into a reverse garden, with trees and objects moving into places they should not be. Pishon, also known as the Eden platform, is another major problem area. Right now, the platform feels incomplete and very buggy. Electricity, water, and sockets do not work properly, and the platform does not have a real gameplay purpose yet beyond giving you more space for trees. My advice is to wait for the next patch before investing too much time or too many resources into it. I also explain why I do not attach tanks and machines under my ship. It may work as an exploit, but it is not my style, and if mines or explosions hit those parts, you can lose fuel, storage, and entire systems. I prefer a messy ship that I can see and manage instead of hiding everything underneath. This video is also a request for the community: share your bugs and fixes. If you found problems with trees, cables, waves, storms, Pishon, ship builds, new items, or performance, leave them in the comments. The more feedback players give, the easier it is for everyone to find workarounds and for the developers to balance and fix the game before release.
