In this The Last Caretaker New Horizons update video, I continue working on the Eden platform and start testing how the new Eden frame building system actually works. This turns into a mix of base building, restoration seed planting, stainless steel farming, bug testing, shark interruptions, eel attacks, and trying to understand how far this new platform system can be pushed. The main goal of the video is to build the first Eden frame, expand the structure, add farming tiles, place restoration seeds, and see how the Eden platform grows. I test where the new Eden building pieces can attach, how the pillars and farming beds work, what happens if you build them in the wrong place, and why making mistakes with these parts can be expensive because scrapping them may not return the correct materials. I also start turning the Eden platform into a real facility. I build multiple floors, add fabricators, test power options, experiment with solar panels and batteries, and begin planning a future base around this location. Since stainless steel, iron, glass, crude oil, and other resources become very important here, this update clearly adds a lot more long-term building and grinding to The Last Caretaker. A big part of the video is testing the restoration trees. I plant seeds, add biomatter, check if the trees produce oxygen, test whether they need water or power, and discover that the Eden platform seems bugged because the trees do not properly consume water or biomatter. I also test whether apple seeds work, whether multiple seeds can be planted in one farming tile, and whether the new pear-related resources can be reused. This video is basically a first full test of the Eden platform system: how to build it, how to expand it, what materials you need, what bugs you should watch out for, and how much potential this new area has for future bases, factories, restoration projects, and completely unnecessary ocean pollution.
