This is a short The Last Caretaker request video for the community and the developers. After the recent changes to distillation towers and oil production, fuel generation has become one of the biggest bottlenecks in the game. Right now, the oil rig has a huge storage capacity, but the pump itself produces far less oil than the pipe system can actually carry. Because of that, a massive part of late-game playtime can turn into waiting around at the oil rig instead of exploring, building, completing quests, fighting enemies, or preparing for future updates. The problem is not that fuel should be free. The problem is that the current oil output feels too slow compared to how important diesel, petrol, oil are for late-game progression. After the distillation nerf and lower fuel output, players may spend too much time sitting near the oil rig just waiting for production. My request is simple: either increase the oil pump output to match the pipe capacity, add more pumps to the oil rig, or give players a way to invest more electricity into the pump so it produces more oil. That way, players can build around the oil rig, make meaningful upgrades, and spend time progressing instead of simply waiting. This would make fuel production feel more active, more rewarding, and more respectful of the player’s time. It would also help future players after release avoid the same oil bottleneck that many current players are dealing with now. If you agree that oil production needs a buff, please support the video, leave a comment, and share your own experience with the current fuel system. The developers have been listening to the community, so clear feedback may help improve the balance before full release.
