In this The Last Caretaker theory video, I talk about something scary and exciting: the current map may only be the beginning. The secret map inside Warehouse Alpha changes how I see the future of the game. When you compare it to the world we already know, you can see repeated circular infrastructure patterns: Lazarus-style central points, caretaker facilities, fueling locations, Exodus-style systems, beacons, research zones, and connected structures. This suggests that the map we have been playing on may be only one section of a much larger world. After version 1.0, The Last Caretaker may expand into other major zones, each with its own Lazarus-like facility, caretaker infrastructure, fuel systems, secrets, and story progression. The most important part is distance. If these new zones are as far apart as the map suggests, our current ship may not be enough to travel between them normally. This makes the Stargate-like structure on top of Lazarus much more important. My theory is that it may connect major regions, allowing us to travel between distant zones instead of sailing for impossible distances. That also leads to a terrifying possibility: we may have to leave our current ship behind. All the resources, storage, infrastructure, cables, batteries, fuel systems, and chaotic builds we created may stay in this starting region while we move forward into the next stage of the game. We may need to repair or build new ships in other regions and begin again with new infrastructure. This is not necessarily bad news. It may actually be the real beginning of caretaking. If every new zone gives us another ship, another Lazarus, another set of facilities, more secrets, more resources, and more environmental challenges, then The Last Caretaker could become much bigger than what we have now. I also talk about possible onshore areas, islands, mountains, future beacons, and why the current map structure may show where the game is heading. Some areas look like they may not be purely ocean-based, which means we may eventually set foot on proper land or explore higher terrain. So if you are building too much infrastructure right now, be careful. Do not scrap everything, but also do not assume your current ship will be the center of the whole game forever. The next stage may take us away from everything we built and force us to evolve into a new level of caretaking.
