Currently Playing: Do NOT Overbuild Pishon Yet! The Last Caretaker Eden Platform Problems & Future Theory

In this The Last Caretaker New Horizons update video, I return to the Pishon / Eden platform and talk about what this place currently does, what problems it has, and why I do not recommend spending too much time overbuilding it right now. The main issue is that the platform still feels unfinished and very buggy. Some plugs and power connections do not work properly, parts of the platform randomly lose power, and the oxygen and socket systems do not behave clearly yet. Because of that, I think this platform may be part of a two-step questline, similar to how Omega Nursery had more systems activated later. I also show how I built my current Pishon setup, including pear trees, solar panels, batteries, dehumidifiers, and a small helicopter landing area made with statues. Pear trees are useful because pears can be sent to space for rewards, but farming pears directly on Pishon is not very practical because you will not spend enough time there. That is why I moved most of my pear production to my ship instead. For power, I use solar panels mainly because they need no maintenance. Wind turbines would be better during storms, but they require more repair work. Since we do not know what the Eden platform will become in future updates, I prefer a low-maintenance setup with enough batteries and dehumidifiers to keep the structure prepared without wasting too much time. I also talk about my theory for the future of Pishon. Since we are sending humans to space, I think these platforms may eventually be used to produce oxygen, restore the atmosphere, rebuild the ozone layer, or prepare Earth for the return of humanity. The strange empty center point on the platform may later hold a machine, rocket system, ozone device, or some kind of gateway connected to the story. My advice for now is simple: do not invest too much time into Pishon yet. Build enough to test the system, plant some trees, prepare basic power, and wait for future patches. The story is not complete, the platform is not fully functional, and rebuilding everything later could become painful.
