Currently Playing: The Last Caretaker: How To Get Aleppo Pine Trees! Hollow Memory Quest & Eden Seeds

In this The Last Caretaker New Horizons update video, I continue the council questline and finally test the Cognitive Resilience quest called Echoes for the Orbit. After finishing almost all of my council members, this quest asks for hollow memory samples, which can be recovered with the photo drone and sent to space through the rocket system. The main goal of this video is to send hollow memory samples into orbit and see what kind of restoration seed comes back for Project Eden. Since the Culture and Memory quest gave me Elysium cherry trees before, I wanted to test whether this quest gives another special tree type. And yes, this time the reward is the Elysium Aleppo pine seed. I also explain a few useful Exodus station tips while doing the quest. If you are still sending council members and samples to space, it helps to keep rocket materials near the rocket platform so you do not need to travel back and forth every time. I also leave extra cables near the methane, oxygen, and electricity containers so the rocket can be refilled more easily. Another important discovery is that hollow memory samples can be reused and sent again. They do not disappear permanently as a one-time system, so you can keep sending them with more humans if you want more restoration seeds. Just like with the cherry tree reward, sending one human at a time may let you get more special seeds compared to sending one full batch of four humans in a single rocket. The Aleppo pine reward also adds more mystery to Project Eden. Right now, pear trees are the most useful because they can be sent to space, but cherry trees, birch trees, and pine trees may become more important later. My theory is that these trees may connect to future memory production, paper-like resources, data cables, or the larger Eden platform systems coming in a future patch. For now, if you want more cherry trees or Aleppo pine trees, do not send all of your council members at once. Send smaller rocket batches with the correct samples so you can collect more special restoration seeds before the next patch arrives.
