Smoking the Lark "Classic Milds" Cigarettes (Review) from Japan, which contain 9mg of Tar, and 0.7mg of Nicotine, making them a lighter than not product. Lark is a classic American brand of cigarettes, having been first introduced in 1963 by Liggett and Myers with the gimmick that they have charcoal filters, a new concept at the time. However, in the United States, the brand never found a lasting foothold, even with a decent amount of advertising, and in 1999, it was sold to Philip Morris USA, and then in 2022, was discontinued. However, that was only the case in the USA, as elsewhere in the world, the nameplate did indeed gain a foothold. While I'm not sure exactly when Lark was first introduced into the Japanese market by PM, I do know that today it's a common brand to find there, with a handful of different varieties accessible at nearly every convenience store, making me think that they must be somewhat popular, at a minimum.
