Smoking a Wakaba KS Cigarette from Japan (Review), which contain 16mg of Tar and 1.2mg of Nicotine. Wakaba is a brand of cigarettes that was first introduced in 1966 by Japan Tobacco, and along with Echo and Golden Bat, used to use a lower tobacco tax bracket than other products, garnering them a cheaper price, and making them into a budget item. However, that tax bracket no longer exists, and so as such, in 2019, the original variety were discontinued and then rebranded into filtered cigars to maintain a lower price. However, this choice did not pan out, and from what I can gather, sales dropped significantly, and so after 5 years, in 2024, the filtered cigar version was discontinued, and a normal version was reintroduced, which is what was featured in this video. Now, there are some changes between these and the old ones that were sold until 2019. For example, the they used to be 80mm, whereas now they are 85mm, and the old ones were slightly stronger and more tarry as well.
