Smoking a Canadian Rez Cigarette for the First Time. But, what exactly is that? Well, it's exactly what it sounds like; it's a cigarette that is made specifically for, usually made on, and is only sold on, Native Reservations. Within Canada at least, the way sales and tobacco taxes work on Rez’s is different than the surrounding areas, meaning that tobacco products are far cheaper than elsewhere, and when I say cheaper, I mean cheaper. $13 USD carton cheap, which is wild. Specifically, I had the “disCOUNT” Light Cigarettes in this video, which cost me roughly $3 USD, and were made in New York State by Jacobs Tobacco Company. I'll be frank, I don't know anything about the history of this brand, nor if they're even sold in the United States, but I do know that they're one of the most well known Rez brands within Canada.
