Smoking a Lucky Strike Origins Yellow Rich Cigarette (Review) from Mexico, which contains 11mg of Tar, 0.9mg of Nicotine, and 10mg of Carbon Monoxide, and are the medium-strength variety in the new "Origins" line, which appears to be a Mexico-exclusive line that was first introduced in 2024 to see if "additive-free" smokes can be a successful market segment there, like they are in the United States. Lucky Strike is an old American brand that was first introduced as a plug chewing tobacco, and later as cigarettes, in 1871 by R.A. Patterson, a company based in Richmond, Virginia. In 1905, the American Tobacco Company purchased R.A. Patterson and the LS brand, and this is when LS as we know it today truly came into existence, and by the 1930's, LS had reached its peak, becoming the most sold brand in the United States. Today, in the USA, Lucky Strike is owned and produced by R.J. Reynolds, and is not as popular as it used to be, not helped by the fact that the filtered varieties were off market for nearly 15 years, but nonetheless Luckies are very legendary and well known overall. Outside of the United States, and within Mexico, LS is owned and produced by British American Tobacco.
