Most travelers tell the driver to drop them right at their hotel. I don't. Instead, I pick a nearby landmark, like a KFC or supermarket, and walk the last minute. It adds almost no time, but it means the driver doesn't know exactly where I'm staying. It's a simple travel habit that adds an extra layer of privacy, especially when traveling solo.
