I stumbled across a four-piece dresser set on the side of the road — and of course, I couldn’t just leave it behind! After getting everything home and inspecting it, I decided to rehome the long dresser. It wasn’t in great shape and, honestly, way too shallow to be very useful. (Sometimes you have to pick your battles!) That left me with the tall dresser and two oversized nightstands — and they definitely needed some TLC. Between water damage, swollen MDF bubbles, and deep cat scratches all across the tall dresser, this project turned into a full-on rescue mission. I spent a lot of time sanding, repairing the bubbling top, and prepping everything for paint. Once it was primed and had its first coat, a surprise gust of wind tried to literally knock my project off its feet — my tent swayed, and the dresser fell over! Luckily, crisis was averted, and after a few touch-ups, I was back in business. After painting and sealing everything with a durable topcoat, I reinstalled the hardware and added modern, coordinating drawer liners for a fresh, finished look. This transformation was a true save — proof that with a little (okay, a lot) of love and patience, even a battered roadside find can turn into something beautiful!
