Being lucky enough to receive family heirlooms is such a gift. However, they don’t always work with your décor. Being able to re-create something that the clients will use and love and also honoring the history is a privilege. I was tasked with re-finishing these heirloom pieces into modern, yet traditional to match the décor of their current owner. Thankfully, they were very well made and had been well taken care of. They needed to be cleaned, stripped, the base cut to modernize it, new hardware, new paint, stain and sealed. EASY! Oh, and drawer liners for a little pop of color and to mask some old stains in the drawers. And now these a beautiful neutral green that would complement any décor, but were specifically refinished for the owner. So fun!
