I saw this set on Facebook Marketplace. I’ve been wanting to update this 70’s/80’s oak style for quite some time and this set seemed perfect for it! I knew that I did not want the headboard, I end up with stacks of them, then they are hard to even give away, but the seller wanted the whole set to go. So, I brought it home and came up with a plan to recycle the wood from the headboard to make bases for the dresser and nightstands. Nothing like recycling! So, after doing some quick demo, I got out my table saw, ripped the scrap pieces into 3” strips and the plan was set! I created a custom green color, chose a stain and off to work I went!
