Thomasville 4 piece set makeover. This was a set that I put together with vintage nightstands, then I found the tall dresser and last minute I found a long dresser to match. Woohoo! I love putting together a 4-piece set. This set is so sleek and modern and uniquely doesn’t have hardware as the finger holds are just under the top trim. I had a buyer picking up another set of nightstands and she was talking about wanting furniture for her kids’ rooms. I showed her the Thomasville set and that was it, she loved it. So we set out to customize this set into two sets for her kids. The tall dresser and one nightstand would be black, and the long dresser with one nightstand would be beige. The tall dresser was a 6-drawer dresser and was quite tall already, but the others could use some height, so we are also adding bases. I have filmed a complete tutorial on building this base. You can see it HERE: https://youtu.be/Iwde7lGNat8 I scuff sanded, filled in the grain on the long dresser, made some repairs and was then faced with a VERY windy day, gusts over 30 mph. I typically set up a spray tent in my driveway and that wasn’t happening, so I had to improvise and set it up in my garage. This took some shuffling around and it was cramped, but I got it done!
