A beautiful trash to treasure story for this Dixie Dresser. After being abandoned in a barn for many years, it was in definite need of a makeover! The owner of a large estate found this dresser in a barn when they purchased the property. They let it continue to sit for a few years as well, then finally listed it for free on Marketplace. Free items generally fly off of the shelves, but this one sat and sat. I continued to watch it for weeks and finally decided to go and check it out. Other than peeling veneer, a broken drawer and a failing finish, structurally it was actually in good condition. I started this piece at one point, repaired the drawer, filled the hardware holes, sanded the top and abandoned it for other projects, for EIGHT months! I had a client that chose it out of my inventory, she could see the vision. So, we developed a plan and off to work I went! I hope you like the final product. It was a lot of work to bring this back to life. But now it is being useful and loved for many years to come.
