After risking life and limb to buy this dresser where I ended up in the back of a bar, buying a dresser from a guy who had this dresser in his truck, it was time to give this a complete overhaul. I adjusted the fit for all of the drawers, stripped the base, scuff sanded the entire piece and got this ready for paint by mixing a custom dark, earthy green. Primed, painted and top coated before refreshing the solid brass hardware using the hardware soup method with bar keeper’s friend. I put it all back together, listed it on FBMP and had a buyer within just a couple of days! They loved this dresser! Well, they loved everything except the color… The really wanted it navy. They wanted it the navy I painted a previous piece in. Would I agree to re-paint this beautiful dresser? The answer is yes. I will repaint a dresser, but I do ask for a fee to cover time and materials. The good part about a color change is the prep is pretty much done. So, I removed the hardware, scuff sanded and back into the tent for all the layers and top coated. All the work is worth it when the clients come to pick it up and gasp, they love it!! So, I’d do it all over again, even twice to make that magic happen!
