Currently Playing: Former Muslim Plays Devil Advocate Against Sam Shamoun On Islamic Dilema

In this video Sam Shamoun talks with a caller who goes by “Christian Muhammad”, a former Muslim who kept his old username, and who plays devil’s advocate as a Muslim to test Sam on the Islamic dilemma. Sam says the dilemma is the destruction of Islam if it is properly presented. He compares it to a Christian who can’t accept the New Testament while calling the Old Testament corrupt, since the Quran also claims to confirm the earlier scriptures. The caller argues the Quran gives only a general confirmation, and Sam answers that even a partial confirmation is a problem. He says the Quran needs the Bible to fill in basic details, and that Muslims can’t prove Moses, the Exodus or Jesus’ time without relying on sources they call corrupted. He presses the caller on who Jesus’ followers were, when they ministered and how he knows Mary’s name, and he points to Quran 5:20-26 and to verses saying the Quran explains everything in detail. The caller says it is “from God”, and Sam calls that circular reasoning. He closes with a question about whether Ishmael and Isaac had the same mother, saying the Quran doesn’t say and you have to go to the Bible to find out.
