Sam Shamoun talks with a 21-year-old ex-Muslim who's been given an ultimatum by his family to deny his Christian faith or be thrown out of the house, and Sam gently but firmly pushes him to man up and trust God to provide instead of living in fear. He shares pieces of his own painful past, including an abusive marriage and losing time with his daughters, to show that trusting God doesn't mean life gets easy, but that God sustains you through it. Sam walks through a string of scriptures on peace and provision, including John 14:27 and John 16:33 on the peace Christ gives despite tribulation, Mark 10:28-30 and Matthew 19:27-30 on the eternal reward for those who give up family for Christ, and Matthew 10:34-39 on the division following Jesus can bring within a household. He closes by walking through Philippians 4, encouraging the caller to stop dwelling on what he's about to lose and instead be thankful for what he still has, laying his fear before God instead of carrying it alone.
