Sam Shamoun breaks down a clip of Bart Ehrman going on about his frustration with the modern healthcare system and how money gets in the way of people receiving proper care, and Sam uses it to show just how deeply Jesus's teachings have shaped Ehrman even though he doesn't believe Jesus is God. He points out how Ehrman is fascinated by the ethical teachings of Christ, is writing a book on Jesus and wealth, and openly admits Christians invented hospitals and cared for abandoned babies out of love inspired by the Sermon on the Mount. Sam brings up how even Joe Rogan has said Jesus's teachings are flawless, and contrasts that with how skeptics tend to struggle with the Old Testament rather than the New Testament or the person of Jesus himself. He also references Tom Holland, an atheist historian who wrote a book praising Christianity's transformative impact on the world while separately writing a book dismantling the historical claims behind Muhammad and Islam. Sam closes by tying it all back to the idea that if the modern healthcare system and even politicians truly lived out Jesus's teachings of sacrificial love, the world would look completely different.
