The war for Cuba continues in Sea Power: Naval Combat in the Missile Age as we take on the second mission of the Crossing the Line '86 campaign, created by TJ and available on the Steam Workshop. In "Night of the OSAs," Task Group 136.3 is tasked with defending the entrance to Guantanamo Bay against a coordinated Cuban attack. Enemy Osa-class missile boats armed with deadly Styx anti-ship missiles are approaching from the west, while Cuban MiG-21s and MiG-23s threaten our ships from the air. With limited ammunition and no reinforcements on the way, our five-ship task group must hold the line until dawn. But during the chaos of an enemy air attack, I make what might be the worst mistake I've ever made in Sea Power: accidentally shooting down a civilian airliner. What should have been a straightforward defensive operation turns into a sobering reminder of the importance of positive target identification, situational awareness, and fire discipline in modern naval warfare. Join me as we fight to defend Guantanamo Bay, engage Cuban missile boats and aircraft, and deal with the consequences of a devastating mistake.
