Sea Power Naval Combat in the Missile Age

Currently Playing: EP.4 Five Warships Against Cuba's Defenses! | Sea Power: Crossing the Line '86

In this episode of Sea Power: Naval Combat in the Missile Age, we continue our playthrough of the Crossing the Line '86 campaign with Mission 3: The Gauntlet! Following the destruction of a critical submarine tender and the loss of the USNS American Explorer, Guantanamo Bay is running dangerously low on fuel. Task Group 136.3, led by USS Preble (DDG-46), is ordered to escort a vital supply convoy through the narrow Old Bahama Channel, just north of Cuba. But this is no ordinary escort mission. Cuban forces are waiting with Osa II missile boats, MiG-23 fighters, coastal anti-ship missile batteries, and potentially Soviet submarines lurking beneath the surface. With five American warships protecting four vulnerable convoy vessels, we must coordinate our air defenses, hunt down enemy threats, and keep the merchant ships alive as we fight our way through the channel.
