Sea Power Naval Combat in the Missile Age

Currently Playing: EP.4 One Submarine Raid Could Change the Entire Campaign | USS Houston | Sea Power

USS Houston slips into hostile waters for an optional submarine raid that could change the rest of the Pacific Strike ’85 campaign. In Run Silent, Run Deep, our mission is to evade Soviet surface ships and enemy submarines, penetrate the defended anchorage near the atoll, and sink Don, a high-value Soviet submarine tender. Success here will reduce the enemy submarine threat in later missions—but Don is not the only target with future consequences. A Soviet Udaloy-class destroyer is also operating in the area. If we can find and sink her during this mission, she will be removed from a future battle entirely. Every contact therefore presents a difficult choice between remaining undetected, completing the primary objective, and taking the risk of eliminating another major enemy asset. #SeaPower #SubmarineWarfare #USSHouston #PacificStrike85 #NavalWarfare #TaskForceMode #ryu1940 Join the discord and chat about naval gaming: https://discord.gg/Ghd7USB7Wy
