Sea Power Naval Combat in the Missile Age

Currently Playing: EP.8 Kirov Destroyed by a Massive Harpoon Salvo | Strike on the Monster Part 2 | Sea Power

The hunt for Kirov reaches its violent conclusion in Part 2 of Strike on the Monster. With the Soviet battle group located, Task Group 77.3 launches a massive coordinated Harpoon salvo against the nuclear-powered cruiser and her escorts. Kirov’s formidable air defenses fight to survive the incoming attack, but enough missiles break through to bring down the monster and remove one of the greatest threats to Australia. Victory, however, comes at a painful cost. After Kirov goes down, the battle continues against the surviving Kara cruiser, and TG 77.3 loses a rare, one-off air-defense warship during her very first mission. We destroyed the most powerful ship in the Soviet formation—but the price of victory may affect the rest of the Pacific Strike ’85 campaign. #SeaPower #PacificStrike85 #Kirov #NavalCombat #TaskForceMode #NavalWarfare #Ryu1940 Join the discord and chat about naval gaming: https://discord.gg/Ghd7USB7Wy
