A native of Denmark, South Carolina, Jerry Washington, was a hair stylist turned singerwhen he signed with Excello in the early 1970's. His big hit was, Right Here Where You Belong, a down home country style ballad that was a regional southern favorite. It did make the national charts, peaking at #54 on the Cash Box chart, week ending 2/24/73. As far as I know, there were no follow up recordings and presumably, Jerry went back to cutting hair.
