The Ovations recorded for the Goldwax label out of Memphis from 1964 through the labels demise in 1969. Their biggest chart hit for the label was this 1965 hit single, It's Wonderful To Be In Love, with lead singer Louis Williams sounding an awful lot like the legendary Sam Cooke. The single peaked at #20 on the Cash Box chart, week ending 6/12/65. After Goldwax went out of business, the Ovations recorded for The Sounds Of Memphis label in the early 1970's.
