Altium Develop keeps design, sourcing, and manufacturing in one connected cloud workspace—so board migrations and cleanups like this Raspberry Pi carrier review stay organized from schematic to fabrication: https://www.altium.com/develop?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=one-minute-pcb-design-reviews&utm_content=nice-raspberry-pi-carrier-board In this One Minute PCB Design Review, Tech Consultant Zach Peterson reviews Muhammad's Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5 (CM5) carrier board in Altium Designer. Because the board is a port-heavy carrier that's already been tested, Zach zeroes in on the cleanup every design migration needs: opening the Project Options dialog to allow ports to name nets, and applying the differential pair directive so the board's many high-speed nets are actually defined as differential pairs. From there, Zach walks through the layout details that separate a good board from a great one—moving solder mask openings used for top-layer text over to silkscreen (and clearing that text off the pad openings), and correcting the default 12.6 mil layer thickness and 4.8 Dk stackup values to the design's real numbers. He also gives credit where it's due: the differential pair routing rules are already dialed in at 90Ω and 100Ω in the PCB Rules and Constraints Editor. It's a fast, practical look at turning a solid Raspberry Pi carrier design into a manufacturing-ready one. 💡 Watch Next: - What Are Differential Pairs?: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7DF25ohH8v4 - PCB Stack-up and Controlled Impedance in Altium Designer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3w22veWMbk - How Altium's Layer Stack Manager Actually Works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQvqPWzm_b0 🔹 Connect with Zach: Want your design reviewed by Zach?
