Altium Develop brings design, collaboration, and early manufacturer feedback into one cloud platform, so mismatched impedance settings and unclear solder mask intent get caught before your boards reach fabrication: https://www.altium.com/develop?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=one-minute-pcb-design-reviews&utm_content=clean-drc-mystery-via-tenting In this 1 Min PCB Design Review, Tech Consultant Zach Peterson looks at Mr. Mansouri's second submission, a Keemate board with RF lines, differential pairs, and a well-documented power management sheet. Zach praises the schematic's design-calculation notes and clickable links, then suggests interleaving ground pins between the differential pairs to suppress crosstalk. He finds the RF impedance calculation uses a 5 mil clearance while the layout has 13.8 mil, which puts the real impedance at 53 to 54 ohms, and recommends thinning the core to bring the 47 mil stackup down to 1 mm. The review ends with a via tenting puzzle and a design rule check that comes back with zero errors, making it a fast lesson in controlled impedance, PCB stackup, and solder mask setup for any PCB designer. 💡 Watch Next: • Need Some Tenting! | 1 Min PCB Design Review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N9fnyf6wCMc • Controlled Impedance Done Right! | 1 Min PCB Design Review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShepH5KLhSo • Designing a 4 Layer PCB Stackup With 50 Ohm Impedance | Signal Integrity: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0S8EXHL0JY • Board Thickness in PCB Design: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rp8dFVD1EVQ • PCB Layer Reduction on an nRF52 Module: Concepts & Walkthrough: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDaFxd2pn_E 🔹 Connect with Zach: Want your design reviewed by Zach?
