Finally, an RPG! Note that I didn't say, "Finally, a non-shooter!" Dungeon Explorer may be an RPG (or something of the kind), but friends, it is also a shooter. It is basically Gauntlet. Which means that NEC is not beating the allegations of the TurboGrafx-16 being the system that only had shooters anytime soon. And that's OK, really. Like all of the other shooters we've seen here in recent weeks, Dungeon Explorer is quite good at what it does. And it does something that, to my knowledge, no one had ever seen in a console game prior to Dungeon Explorer: it allows FIVE people to play simultaneously. The road to Hi-Ten Bomberman begins here.
