This is why you're here. In this video you turn on a second material layer and blend between the two by painting: rock here, dirt there, a transition wherever you drag the brush. This is the idea the entire rest of Surface Forge is built on. Get this one, and every layering feature after it — three layers, slope, snow — is a variation on what you do right now.
