Since there aren’t many publicly available race-specific Jakob workouts, I used Almgren’s 10K prep as a close proxy: high-volume 10K work, short rest, and just enough suffering to make you question every life decision. The goal was to get through all 10 reps before my race next week. In this video, I break down the workout, how it felt, and what it means heading into the finale of this training series. Follow along as I try to see what happens when a normal-ish runner copies the training of the best distance runners in the world.
